COMMUNICATION & ACTION TEAM (CAT) UPDATE
October 2, 2023
Fair pay now!
Dear colleagues,
Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out to our action at the Board of Trustees meeting on Friday. I believe the board and the administration heard our message loud and clear that we are tired of waiting for fair pay! We are anxious for the administration to respond to our economic proposals promptly so that we all can get the raises we deserve.
In addition to hearing from us, the administration has also heard from prominent politicians, including US Senators John Fetterman and Bob Casey, US Representative Summer Lee, and the Pennsylvania House Democratic caucus led by Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton. They all sent letters to our new chancellor urging her to work with our Union to wrap up negotiations quickly.
We continue to build power by adding new members to our Union every day. If you are ready to sign your membership card, fill out this form and we will send you a digital card via DocuSign that you can complete immediately. If you have questions about membership, reach out to a Communication and Action Team (CAT) member in your area or email us at [email protected].
Together we can win a strong contract with fair pay for all Pitt faculty!
In Solidarity,
Your Communication and Action Team
